- Like everything around us the windmill and the adjacent water tank were in a dilapidated state, but this didn't stop the rusted blades from turning, despite there seeming to be insufficient wind to do this. And the windmill began to spin faster and faster, the eerie creaking sounds getting louder. Samantha and I stood watching it, unable to make any sense of what we were seeing.
- "Again, this place is so strange, I swear it's haunted," said Samantha.
- "Yeah, normally I don't believe in ghosts, but this place is flat out weird," I agreed, as the sound of howling -- possibly from a fox -- was audible from the overgrown plants near the windmill.
